This bridge is one of the most important and largest remaining examples of a bridge built by the King Bridge Company of Cleveland, Ohio, one of the most important and prolific bridge builders of the late 19th Century. It is also one of the rarest and most important bridges in the State of Texas.

An incredible combination truss bridge, this structure features two main Whipple truss spans (extremely rare in its own right as a multi-span Whipple truss) and two pin-connected Pratt through trusses, one at each end of the bridge. The bridge features decorative treatment in the form of builder plaques, finials, and knee bracing on the portal.

The bridge has been restored for non-vehicular use, and it is an area attraction and one of the most valuable historic resources in the area. The bridge retains original built-up fishtail style floorbeams.

Traditional Ceremony Outside with Beautiful Landscape

The Tea Gardens offers 3 locations: Waterfalls up to 10 guests, Lower Garden up to 15 guests or the Pavilion that looks over the whole park and is covered for up to 50 guests. The park is open from 9am-5pm daily, but with your rental you get a security officer and the space private for an hour. You can also rent the park after hours for an additional charge. The Gardens have a small room for the bride to freshen up in and public bathrooms for guests. The Gardens also offer an onsite restaurant that can be used for a simple cake cutting (with or without finger foods and tea) or a full reception.

Indoor rustic BBQ reception venue. Affordable location where you can have just dinner or a full reception with DJ and dancing. This is our only reception location that will allow guests to pay for their own food or, choose the traditional buffet style. This location is also great for rehearsal dinners. Your ceremony can also be hosted here, but guests will be seated at their tables.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a beautiful location that offers many spaces around the park that can host ceremonies up to 75 guests with full ceremony setup. Open to the public but still very private, the Garden has many great spaces for photography. The Auld House is a stand-alone structure, private for your party with restrooms and a patio area. Your ceremony can take place inside or outside, a perfect option for inclement weather. Also, has private bathrooms!
