This entire 23 acre estate of Mary Mayfield Gutsch was presented to the city of Austin in 1971 for all Austinites to enjoy as a park. Mayfield Park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  Known for the many peacocks wandering the property, this park also features art installations, hiking trails, and a historic cottage that can be rented for parties.
